- Disneyland, Paris: Disneyland Paris is the most popular theme park in France and by far the most visited place in France. Its major sections are the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney Village and seven Disney hotels Studios. Live cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are a great amusement to children. Thrilling rides such as Space Mountain entertain people of all ages.

 

The Eiffel Tower, Paris: Known as the symbol of France, the Eiffel Tower was built for a world fair in 1889, marking the centennial celebration of the French revolution. It was initially built as a temporary structure with the plan to be dismantled after the celebration. Least did they know that it will become the most paid monument in the world in the future!

The Louvre, Paris: Art lovers from throughout the world love to visit the Louvre museum for its rich collection of art works by famous French painters like Renoir and Leonardo da Vinci. The museum also portrays the great history of French emperors including Napolean Bonaparte. A huge glass pyramid at the centre is the most spectacular structure of the museum.

 

The Palace of Versailles, Ile de France: Being the most popular museum in the world, the Chateau of Versailles, as it is commonly called, was initially built as a lodge for hunting purpose for King Louis XIV in the 17th Century A.D. Later, after a few years, the lodge was converted to a palace for the King’s residence. Magnificent in its construction and dimension, the palace leaves world-wide visitors spell-bound.

 

The Georges Pompidou Centre, Paris: It houses a public library and an art museum. The notable feature of the architecture is that all the pipe lines are constructed on the outside giving unique colors to each of them, for example, all water lines are green, electricity lines are yellow and escalators are red.
